Blues Anoraks
Local harp and guitar duo providing a mixture of classic acoustic numbers, along with Bill Pullen's knowledgeable banter on the history of the blues. What he doesn't know is probably not worth knowing!
Bill Pullen has dabbled in the folk, blues and pop/rock circuit for 30 years or more and still does a bit of folk/cabaret (including Jethro) and gigs with local party band 'Occasionally Big Band.' Recently he picked up his old love, blues-harp playing and blues vocals, working with various local guitarists. He now features mainly with Cheltenham based blues/boogie guitarist/vocalist Dave Camp. The 'Blues Anoraks' name came about one night when Papa George and Dave Ellis were at Brailles. Bill also has the distinction of being one of the few people to have performed at Upton-on-Severn folk, jazz, blues, Cajun & Zydeco AND water festivals - the full set - over the years...
