Claude Bourbon
Claude's no stranger to the Gloucester festival. He calls himself 'The
Frog with the Blues...and now the Volvo'. French blues player with an eclectic
mix.
So what is his history? Who cares. Claude Bourbon is here and now and his music has evolved over the years and will continue to do so. His roots were in the Blues but that is like saying Leonardo de Vinci was a painter. Claude is inspired by music from around the world including Spanish Middle Eastern, Russian and Europe. He takes these sounds and weaves them into songs and melodies that may be Blues but can be ballads, rock, jazz or pieces that cannot be labelled.
His fifth CD is a fine example of his music. Should you then listen to the CD don't be surprised if it is not exactly as you heard him play. Claude continually changes the music to suit his mood and to see how far he can take his music. This is a musician who has total commitment to and belief in the music he creates.
